This printer is intended for use with Epson cartridges only, not third-party cartridges and ink. Cartridge Yield: The yield is based on ISO 24711 in the default mode, printing continues. The results obtained vary widely due to different printing models, settings and temperatures. Printing frequently or in one color primarily does not reduce yields. Ink must be stored on all cartridges for printing and printer maintenance. For quality printing, some ink remains on modified cartridges. Designed for EPSON cartridges only: Other ink supplies are not compatible and may not work properly or consistently if they are described as compatible. Such limitations can be circumvented with some other printers, such as the Epson EcoTank cartridge free printers. Firmware Updates: Epson provides periodic firmware updates to address security, performance, minor bug fixes and ensure your printer will work as designed. Your printer was designed to only work with genuine Epson ink cartridges, so any update could affect the performance of the third-party ink.
